About Me
I am a lady who lives in a lovely house with gigantic old windows and lots of plants. I have more books than bookcases. I like to make art.
I'm an anthropology student but poetry is my foremost passion. I speak some Spanish but want to learn Nahuatl (indigenous Mayan language) and German. Ethnocentrism is lame. Herbal medicine is great.
As a writer, I'm shifting away from lots of first-person confessional poetry toward third-person persona poems. I am inspired by as diverse poets as Hiromi Ito, Rita Dove, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Adrienne Rich, and Billy Collins. I also really enjoy creative non-fiction.
