Bio
I work for a prominent outdoor company to provide for my household Háma Ó Colmáin, serve my kindred association Lítt Ugla ("Little Owl") and volunteer as a goði through a statewide outreach ministry called Michigan Trúfolk. I am a member of The Troth. I am a practioner of Runcræft and Leecræft, though lately I've been studying experimental Hamfara, Spá, and Seiðr. Politically I am a moderate conservative. My life is my faith and my joy is my family, friends, and hobbies. My interests include (but are not limited to) archery, backpacking, baseball, blacksmithing, books, boxing, The Boy Scouts of America, brewing, camping, cooking, cordials, dancing, folklore, hiking, history, leather-working, liquor, mock combat, movies, music, the paranormal, poetry, religion, role-playing, runcræft, runes, The SCA, science fiction, seiðr, shoes, spirituality, spá, Star Trek, Star Wars, swords, theater, Theodism, The Transformers, wilderness survival, wines, writing and of course Ásatrú.

I work as a Selling Supervisor for a company called The North Face. Politically I am a self-described "moderate conservative." I hope to live the American Dream and to achieve it freely.

My favorite quotes (in no particular order) are:

"When you want what you've never had, you must do what you've never done." - A Jedi proverb

"Everything we're taught is false; everything that we learn is true." - A Théodish saying.

"There is no beauty that hath not some strangeness in proportion." - William Shakesphere

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke (1729-1797)

"To die proudly when it is no longer possible to live proudly. Death of one's own free choice, death at the proper time, with a clear head and with joyfulness, consummated in the midst of children and witnesses: so that an actual leave-taking is possible while he who is leaving is still there." - Friedrich Nietzsche

"Dreams are the touchstones of our character." - Henry David Thoreau

"Believe and live according to belief." - Thomas Fuller

"Love takes hostages." - Neil Gaiman, The Kindly Ones

"If they are calling on their God against us, though they bear no arms, they still fight us by pursuing with hostile prayers" - The Heathen King Aethelfrith

"In Christianity neither morality nor religion come into contact with reality at
any point." - Friedrich Nietzsche

"He knows alone who has wandered wide,
and far has fared on the way,
what manner of mind a man doth own
who is wi se of head and heart." - Havámal 18
