I write about things that have occurred to me in my life, much along the lines of other memoir writers such as Augusten Burroughs and David Sedaris.

I work in the behavioral healthcare field and the focus of the memoir I am putting together is an expose of this field with a working title: “They’re Crazier on the Inside.”

I am licensed both as a mental health and addictions counselor, and have over 19 years of experience in the field. I quickly came to understand that while it is the clients we serve, there are many amongst the rank and file who are 'crazier' than those they treat. This memoir's purpose is to provide insight into this field, for those who are consumers or potential consumers, in order to make people aware of some of the dynamics that exist inside. The dual purpose is to also entertain and provide humorous stories. Thus no knowledge of the field is needed, nor is being a consumer a requirement. All that's needed is an interest in a funny story.
