...and so it became interesting to write about the mundane - maybe master of the short story Guy-de-Maupassant's tale 'The Piece of String' was a pivotal experience... ha ha.

Increased awareness of the vast complexity of life with its reliance on the simple and mundane came to fascinate me.

If ever I stop to pick up something out of doors I am reminded of that piece of string - so simple yet so obvious!

Thus we enter the realm of the mistaken, the misconceived, the misrepresented, the miscalculated... even the plain 'overlooked'...
