I have a tendency towards insanity and a unique way of viewing this drama we call life. I have no problem sharing the thoughts that lurk within my twisted psyche—except for those things they could use against me in the trial—as I find the madness that has consumed my mind to be quite entertaining. I inhabit my own little world where the sky is purple and I reign supreme. I write for no one other than myself, I feel no need to impress or convince, I merely seek to let the demons loose and scare the hell out of those who stumble into my reality.

Okay, having said that, let's move on...
I'm a single parent/writer living in the Southwest suburbs of Minnesota, otherwise known as the 7th Circle of Hell. I am currently stuck in the middle of writing my first novel, which is a vampire/witchy kinda thing. I also write short stories and poems, which is what I've been focusing on lately.
I like it hard, fast and loud (get your mind out of the gutter, I'm talking about music!). Aside from writing my other great outlet is music as I have found that it does indeed soothe the savage beast within me...most of the time. Some of my favorite groups are:
Mudvayne, Disturbed, Slipknot, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Seether, System of a Down, Jason Mraz, John Mayor, The Dave Matthews Band, The Dresden Dolls, Drowning Pool, Evanescence, Green Day, Godsmack, Sum 41, Korn, Kid Rock, Nickelback, Flogging Molly, Nine Inch Nails, Rob Zombie,Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, The Offspring, Papa Roach, Pink, and so many, many more that I can't recall right now.
This is my all-time fav song/vid from Mudvayne. Chad Gray is most definitely #1 on my top 5 list!
It's funny, cuz it's usually my kids that are yelling at me to turn my music down, not the other way around!
I love anything dark, tragic, or having to do with the supernatural as evidenced by my fav shows, which are Buffy, Angel, Charmed, Supernatural and the X-Files.
Some of my fav movies are: Kill Bill 1 & 2; Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels; Snatch; The Transporter 1 & 2; Cellular; Mr. & Mrs. Smith; The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy; Underworld 1 & 2; The Lord of the Rings Trilogy; Ocean's 11, 12, & 13; The Covenant; Tomb Raider 1 & 2; and a bunch more I can't recall at this moment.
As far as spirituality goes I am an Ex Christian-Pagan-Buddhist-Witch. Or, 'Heinz 57,' if you will. I have read the entire Bible cover to cover three times, though admittedly that was years and years ago. I love a lot of what is written in there, especially the Psalms and the Words of Jesus, but could no longer stand how the Christians I knew selectively chose what to believe, ignoring those verses that were inconvenient and constantly quoting those that justified their hatred for others not like them.
I have 2 beautiful girls, ages 13 and 17 (yes, I started young) whom I love and am very proud of, though at times they drive me out of my mind and I want to sell them to the gypsies. A perfect example of one of these times is when I asked the youngest to remove all her junk from the front hallway and she kicked it all into the kitchen. I guess I should have been more specific!
My fav comedians: Eddie Izzard ("Cake or death?") and Christopher Titus ("I love being from a screwed up family. Nothing bothers me anymore, nothing bugs me. Once you've driven a drunk father to mom's parole hearing, what else is there? Bring it on!")
Some of my fav quotes:
"America is one of the finest countries anyone ever stole." ~Bobcat Goldthwaite
"It is dangerous to be right when the government is wrong." ~Voltaire
"Those that can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities." ~Voltaire
"It has been said that man is a rational animal. All my life I have been searching for evidence that supports this." ~Bertrand Russel
"Insanity in individuals is something rare-but in groups, parties, nations and epochs it is the rule." ~Friedrich Nietzsche
"Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read." ~Groucho Marx
"You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't loose it." ~Robin Williams
"In a mad world, only the mad are sane." ~Akira Kurosawa
"Humans are the only animals that have children on purpose with the exception of guppies, who like to eat theirs." ~P.J. O'Rourke
"Never raise your hand to your children, it leaves your midsection unprotected." ~Robert Orben
"There is a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line." ~Oscar Levant
"Normal people scare the living shit out of me!" ~Christopher Titus
"63% of families in America are now considered dysfunctional. Good, cuz that means when Armageddon really comes 37% of this population are gonna lose their minds! 'Oh God, the world is over!' And us 63% are gonna be going, 'Hey, there's nobody watching the Lexus dealership! We're going to the Apocalypse with leather and a CD player!'" ~Christopher Titus
More quotes to come...
So, that is all for now, I may add more later. As a Leo I do love to prattle on endlessly about myself. ;-)
