My name is Stephanie and I'm a senior in high school (finally!). Knowing that, all I can tell you is that I'm constantly changing and reinventing different parts of myself and I think my poetry reflects that. I've been writing since seventh grade, when my writing teacher introduced the poetry unit- I tolerated it, not knowing what would come out of it...my love for writing. Hence the reason I'm a part of WritersCafe. Ironically, I'm more addicted to this website than to Myspace or Facebook nowadays, which is just fine with me!
I spend the majority of my free time with my amazing friends, which always sparks a creative thought or two. The rest of my time is spent on school and college plans and whatnot, with writing falling everywhere in between. I'm a part of a club at school called Writer's Gathering and I'm also in Shakespeare Club (dorkamus, I know). I'm hoping to go to London during spring break!
Laughter is extremely important to me- it makes you feel happy even if you aren't, and it's contagious :] Plus, it burns calories, so laugh it up ya know?
Lately, I've been experimenting with different forms and styles of poetry. The contests on here are really helpful when it comes to writer's block. Something else you should know- this section, like me, is always changing. One day I'll wake up and decide to share something new about myself... So be prepared!
