To my Valentine With Love

When I was young, I pictured

A fairy tale end for me

Complete with a handsome Prince

To come and set me free

 

We'd ride into the sunset

His arms around me tight

And then we'd share love's first kiss

In the rays of the fading light

 

Our happily ever after

Would be happy as can be

But then came the day I realized

That wasn't the life for me

 

I wanted a life of passion,

Of adventure and mystery

Not a stuffy, stuck up Prince

To keep the world from me

 

And so I decided

To leave this childish dream behind

And set out into the world

Wondering what I'd find

 

And to my wondrous surprise

What I found was you

You who opened up my heart

And released a love so true

 

You filled my life with passion,

Adventure and romance

And at the slightest touch from you

My heart begins to dance

 

I found what I always wanted,

What I've been dreaming of

Is right here in my arms tonight,

My Valentine, my love
