Broken tree

Broken tree

A Poem by Graggz

Roots rooted beneath this slowly

decaying earth with malnutrition in the soil

as each grain slowly becomes greedy

people turning into scavengers scorning each other alive

like vultures,

what happened to the backbone of this tree?

Pride, alcohol, dictatorship, force,

poverty, women, food, greed

trees that grow territorial to bloom fruits that bear life

the dreams of an old dying family tree with the fate

of solitary welfare.

The branch that has the most green leaves is praised

what if it doesn't bear the fruits as good the branch  with

dry leaves,

what's important?

the leaves or the fruit?

money or help?

The cries of the young future

seeds sitting on a tree without a back rest

 literally no backbone,

like a lil spoilt brat spending their inheritance

they are not thinking of the future

again pride and greed has affected the

tree.

Pride and greed can stunt the growth. Interesting read and nice metaphor.
