Stop DWI

Stop DWI

A Poem by Lisa
"

Poetically preaching the soberness of not drinking

"

Before you end up going to prison

I need your attention as you listen

I am on a very important mission

by preaching a sobering

thought to you.

When thinking of that drink to take

Don’t drink and drive, it’ll be a mistake

It’s a decision only you can make.

I’m hoping you choose the

right thing to do.

Share one moment to reflect

On the cause and the effect

Of yesterday’s sorrow, today’s regret.

Take responsibility

for what you do.

Don’t drink and get behind that wheel

Don’t want a life for you to steal

Loss of life is all too real.

We don’t need another

family to cry.

Don’t want to live my life in fear

The statistics read all too clear

Thousands of people are killed each year

by drunk drivers

diagnosed with DWI.

On behalf of all the mothers

Fathers, sisters and brothers

One another and every other

don’t drink and drive, none of us

deserve to die.
