June 1, 2005: Breaking News at the Sierra Woods Metropolis Train Station.

A 17 Year Old Girl is Murdered, Presumably by Her Ex, Whom on Probation.

Angelica (Angie) Mayden never made it to her job at the Farmer’s Market in town,

her lifeless body was inside her Volkswagen Bug in which a commuter had found.

She had been allegedly raped and then stabbed numerous times with a knife

what kind of beast could take away such a young and innocent life?

Police were informed and they immediately rushed to the crime scene

questioning all about any information they knew or what they had seen.

It didn’t take long to hunt down and capture the alleged perpetrator,

his name was Charlie, Angie’s ex-boyfriend from the city who betrayed her.

He was found by police in a Southeast home in a neighboring state,

on him they found a passport and cash, ready to flee, no moment to waste.

He was taken handcuffed and shackled into custody without posted bail,

to await a scheduled hearing date at the local Wyndham County Jail.

Whatever possessed this illegal alien to commit such a crime?

He killed many lives, Angie’s, her family, his own, only to do time.

When questioned by authorities if he killed her beyond a reasonable doubt,

he answered them by saying he stabbed her, he was agitated and flipped out.

After months in court listening to testimonies and witness’ accounts

the verdict was read on all charges in their respectable amounts.

Guilty! The breakdown: 2 counts of murder, rape and criminal sex act in the first degree

in which all of these convictions warrant both class "A" and class "B" felonies.

Relentless hours of preliminary hearings and deliberations paid off very well

Elias, (also known as Charlie), will spend 20 years to life in a confinement of hell.

You can say justice was served, but it won’t bring back the life of a girl well known

we need to prosecute criminals before they strike again as statistics have shown.

On the 1st anniversary of Angie’s death, people gathered around, prayed and held hands

to honor her memory and to keep her spirit alive while wearing "Angie Lives" wristbands.

Memorials of teddy bears, flowers and cards in remembrance of Angie decorate a shrine

located on wood fences outside the Sierra Woods train station in parking lot number 9.

I do believe good things will come out of all this misery and hell

and God will bless all who fought for Angie Mayden, our guardian angel.

Before I go on, let me ask if by "non-fiction," you mean this crime was real? Because, if this happened, and if it didn't, I feel very saddened by it: such a tragedy! Now, on to the writing itself: I really liked how this was written: as a sort of editorial/article. It also made me feel something; like I said before, it made me feel sad. However, there were some gramatical/wording issues in this, like a run on that takes place toward the beginning:

"It didn’t take long to hunt down and capture the alleged perpetrator,
his name was Charlie, Angie’s ex-boyfriend from the city who betrayed her."

I think that the second line of that quote should be a standalone sentence. Apart from those grammar problems, good work.
