The Wall FallingA Story by Too Many Fires
Written March 14, 2011
She sits on her bed, headphones blaring. She crys knowing that no one can be trusted the way she wants to be able to trust. She has a secret she holds. She doesn't tell anyone so no one knows. It hurts her more inside so she has no hope of finding "her guy"
He sits there telling her his life story. He held the same secret she does now. She feels like she can trust him so for once her walls come falling down around her. There not protecting her. She is ungaurded now and she feels safe. He tells her how he is and works. She doesn't mind and her heart begins to hurt. Not of pain, but in the desire of wanting. She wants what she never had. She looks back on everyone who has hurt her and seems glad. They all led her to this. To more importantly him.
He sees her walls falling. So he let's his too. They are completely vunerable. He talks to her and makes her day. He tells her she will find the right guy someday. As she begins to talk to him more she realizes the horrible truth.
He is a knight. But he might not be her saving guy. But her walls were down so this pain is full blown. She got to close. He doesn't even notice her words match his own. She sits alone again and crys. He notices and asks why.
She can't tell him that the guy she talks about is him. If she did it would kill her even worse it wouldn't affect him. So she covers it up and asks tough. Deep inside the walls are rebuilding. And her heart can feel the stabbing. She covers it up with a lie. The she leaves him be and relies on her secret one more time.
She feels the walls up higherthan she remembers. She felt it all through herself again. She feels the pleasure of pain. He doesn't know. He will never again know. She let the walls begin to fall...
But it made her secert stronger and worse. And she sits and crys feeling like she is back to begging. But she says it's worth it. Because after all it is
