Fleeing.

Fleeing.

A Poem by Too Many Fires

a single tear falls,
it burns in her skin,
he tried to call,
she's feeling the pain within,
he didn't mean to,
gasps of air can't fill her lungs... it's pointless,
he wanted her too,
she knows she is becoming breathless,
he loved her,
just one more cut she mouths into the empty air,
he knew she had deserved better,
she just doesn't care,
why didn't he see what he was doing was wrong,
she looks up,
he had even ignored their song,
she knows there's way too many screw ups,
he knew the melody,
she just keeps bleeding,
the verses he knew better than he,
now she's fleeing.
