A Lifetime

It takes a lifetime to achieve so much, but among all of them, only one isn't subtle.

It takes a lifetime to build a historic building;
One second to bomb it down.

It takes a lifetime to build a friendship;
One minute to bring it down.

It takes a lifetime to build one's trust;
One hour to blow it down.

It takes a lifetime to build one's courage;
One person to knock it down.

It takes a lifetime to strengthen an army;
One war to blast it down.

It takes a lifetime to find mutual love;
Once sought, it's never coming down.

It takes a lifetime to build on that relationship;
But regardless of ups and downs, it's worth having been found.
