What Is Love?

My own thoughts, & what I know to be true.

  Love.
what is love?
it has no real definition, no real description.
it is as bound-less as it is  limit-less.
it can defy both time & space.
it is the most powerful emotion that exists.

it's a feeling of undescribe-able joy,
of being connected to something & someone.
of caring for someone as much, if not more,
than you care about you own self.

those who have truly been in love will stop at nothing,
see that their loved one is happy & content.

this is where a lot of people get confused,
those who have been hurt before associate hurt with love.
those who have been miss-treated in the name of love,
& had someone take advantage of their desire to please,
blame their broken heart on love.
they put up walls around their heart,
& swear they will never let anyone in it again.

 

rest assured, this is NOT true love,
when someone really loves you they would respect you,
& could never hurt you or miss-treat you in such a way!

for doing so would be like ripping their own heart in two.
 

love is the only cure for a heart that has been broken,
in the words of the great Rumi:
~ the wound is the place where the light enters you! ~
so, do not be afraid to open your heart,
for that is the only way in which it can be healed.

Very sweet, I know this depth of emotion and interaction and you display an adapt heart as well. I have always been willing to love with as open a heart each and every time for the reward is far more than the risk. The risk are real and the pain can be too much but love is more. Nice Rebekah.
