Strength, Courage and Bravery

Sometimes you feel like giving up,

Giving up on people, giving up

On life itself.

There's always a moment in your life,

Where you wish for people

To just accept you for who you are.

Sometimes, you feel like everyone is

Judging you, the way you dress, act,

And personality wise.

There's always the flash of paranoia

Of thinking that others hate you,

And just want revenge.

There's always that little whim, spur

Of the moment type of thought,

To change yourself, and make others like you.

Sometimes, life brings you sad moments,

Moments where you are at your lowest low,

And you think hat nothing will cheer you up again.

You think you're in depression, and nobody

Hears your cries and pleas for help. Everyone

Around you is so cheerful, you feel like the only person

Who is feeling that low.

But sometimes, all you need to do is sit back and relax, 

And be yourself. Then you may eventually realise, 

That people will accept you for you, if you do too.

There's always going to be a time, when you can

Get back up on your own two feet, and face the world

With a vengeance so high, nothing can tear you down again.

And that is what everyone views as courage, bravery,

And most of all, strength and power. The strength and will

To keep going, and the bravery to keep fighting back.

You can do it, we all believe in you.

Author's Note

There's always going to be a time in your life when you feel that nothing can cheer you up again. Yet all you need to realise is, you will get through this.

What I like most about this piece is the tone of the speaker telling of their times when they had felt that low and the new things they learned with time, and the inspiring tone the speaker takes on later in the poem seeking to inspire others who have felt like them, to help them out of the rut they are trapped in. Well done.

Amazing write, down to earth and easy to relate to. This is the truth of life, oftentimes we ourselves are the ones who are holding our light back from the world. I loved the ending stanza it was so strong and very much defined; something that most everyone in the world probably needs to hear every now and then. A work well done.

We are so scared of what others think of us, of being betrayed by the people we love. But if we just show them our beauty inside, what is there to be afraid of? aaw thanks so much! Yes, the reason why people give up is because people give up on them. But if they had the mentality that everyone believes in them, everyone would be all bright and happy, and fine to take risks, with or without failure as the end result. No problem!

Thankyou! Yes, being yourself is truly the hardest thing you have to do, but if you do it, you get rewards better than anything else you've experienced. You get strength, courage and bravery, and not to mention, confidence. And with those 4 things in your personality, you can take risks and not be afraid of falling or failing.
