Solamente Amigas

She and I - we
We agreed to be friends
Friends and nothing more
More involved disappointment and tears
Tears streaming from insecurity
Insecurity fueled by my mistrust
Mistrust brought on by her addiction
Addiction to all that I am not
Not that it matters at this point
Point fingers, we both can blame
Blame would just push us further away
Away from the friends that we agreed to be
Be my friend she said
Said be my friend after everything!
Everything we had been through
Through tears of love lost, I agreed
Agreed to just be friends
Friends are what we agreed, but what I cannot be...
