ITS TIME

ITS TIME

A Poem by 3X3MPLER
"

sometimes you have to ignore everything and believe in yourself

"
is my hair cool?
where is the mint?
is my breath fresh?
i have to walk to her
ask her a the dance
will i dance correct?
i mean
i have two left legs
literally my two legs left
they know they cant dance
maybe i should crawl back to my sit and sit
i borrowed this tie and blazer
am not wasting them
graceful she always is
glowing brighter than the sun
got me sweating like am sick
am sick of being the dude
who cant chase his dreams
i dreamt of this moment
now its here
i walk to her
our eyes lock
Eve will you dance with me
i stutter
a smile forms on her face
she stands and holds my hand
oh God! she just said yes
i swear this is insane
a dream
maybe a prank

relax
i tell myself
its time
i belive in myself

Seeing the courage, serenity and wisdom planted in your soil of your garden for the exotic plants and flowers to continue to grow for eternity. Truly I felt a philosophical approach to the way the world is now with a lot of lost souls playing hide and seek with their true-selves, purpose and destiny. In the way people say there's not enough time but to realize there is no time stopping you to achieve what the god allotted you and to truly embrace your identity. In this case, a exemplary figure you presented in your poetry or worthy of imitation. You'd never know what life has in store for you, if you don't give up on that inner child filled with innocence, love and most importantly imagination. Becoming what you are. I recommend you watch this inspiring video on Youtube called Alan Watts The Real You. Keep on achieving my friend and know there's no anchors on your ship sailing life full of beauty and love. May abundant of love, kindness, blessings and laughter/dreams follow you wherever you go in life. Sincerely your friend in poetry and life.

A very interesting poem describing the tale of the shyness and emotions of a guy. Wonderfully put! ^_^

Aww. You perfectly embodied shyness and the surprise of being chosen when all you can assume is that you won't be. Good write, man.

Hey! This is pretty awesome. Kind of reminds me of homecoming....

I would correct the lines "Eve will you dance with me" and "oh God! she just said yes", maybe this instead: "Eve will you dance with me?"
oh God! she just said, "Yes"
