Waiting for so long,

my love still strong.

for you,

only for you I wait.

Years are passing by,

my heart still sky high.

life is hard,

without you my love.

Growing and aging,

my dreams weakening.

my love is still strong,

hopes cling on.

One day passes,

then the next.

hoping and praying,

for you to come.

My prince,

a warrior so strong.

comforting embrace,

I need right now.

So here I sit,

in the cold.

hanging on,

to a whisper and a dream.

Rain pours,

washing away the hopes.

For the whispers,

nothing more than a delusion.

You hadn't cared,

forgetting me in a blink of an eye.

Loving another,

while my own heart wilted.

So here I sit,

heart no longer strong.

attempting to regain,

something.

Lost I have been,

too long.

Without you,

I had stood strong.

shakily,

but still standing.

so I must mend,

 my bleeding heart.

For hope,

is a potent antidote.

bringing life,

once more to me.

no longer am I weak,

for now my heart is strong.

Awwww. this is so saddening... it seemed so happy in the beginning... but you show the strength of a heart that has been cut... This poem almost made me cry... thanks MELODY! It's okay, that just means its really good and touching. I have been in a place where I waiting on this guy for the longest time, and I just wasn't it for him, but I really thought he was the one for me. Anywho, the link goes to Sara Evans, "A Little Bit Stronger" I think it goes well with this poem, and I know I felt better when I listened to that song. It reminded me of getting up off my knees, and getting over him. Great poem, touching!
