lifeless and dead

lifeless and dead

A Poem by Alfredo Quiroga

the blood drips

slowly from the

lifeless and dead

remains of slaughtered

frostbite, severed and

shattered inner dreams,

as I contemplate

beneath the stars

I wait patiently

for the pervading silence

of nothingness that

lurks around my solemn life.

Alfredo,

I believe this is a great beginning of a great poem. I especially like the last stanza:

"I wait patiently
For the pervading silence
Of nothingness that
Lurks around my solemn life."

If you could expand on this theme I believe you will have something people will want to read. Remember: "Writers are peculiar but readers are paticular."

I appreciate your writing and believe you have potential. Keep on writing.

Sincerely,

Cecil A
