And yet another poem about life. I'm as deep as the ocean aren't I? Basically about looking back on your life... I'm bad at descriptions.
Genesis 19:23 (KJV)
The sun had risen upon the Earth when Lot entered Zoar, then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven. And he overthrew those cities, and all the plains and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. But his wife looked back and she became a pillar of salt.
Always running forward,
Never looking back,
But unable to resist,
Life's funny like that.
You keep on running,
Moving forward quick,
Then you turn around.
Just a little bit.
The years you see laid out behind,
like an open book, able to be read
but unable to rewrite.
Will the things you've left behind bring a tear to your eye?
Well, I think this needs a little editing. :/
The verse up the top is from... the Bible! Well... that was easy to reference. The King James version I think. Basically, for you people in unfamilliar territory:
Lot and his wife are running away from the destruction. God let them go but told them not to look back. Lot's wife did and she turned into a pillar of salt.
I think I got the story right? Feel free to correct me.
Sometimes looking back can be good. But sometimes it's painful. Forget the things in the past and don't let them influence what you do today.
Wow... I'm a bit too deep for a 15 yr old aren't I?
*sigh* Well... it's not like I'm normal anyway... Oh well. What's the fun in being a sheep?
Read, Review, Enjoy
~A
P.s Basic point I was trying to bring across= What will you see when you look back? Keep moving foward and forget the mistakes you've made. Did it work... I'm not really sure :/

Oh, Good.
I found another active mind busily firing away at the ether.
I feel free to comment at length.
I shall play the Devil's Advocate:
" You see? they are so very easy to influence through their 'language'.
note that this one is using in Art a tried and true, 'rule of thumb' (and we won't talk about the original meaning of that one..lol) in this case;
Never Look Back
It sounds good, and brave, and all.
But, here's what they don't notice:
In not looking back, they forget their histories, and after this runs wild for a few generations, well, I just walk around with my pitchfork, you see...."
Very Good Work.
I like your topic
use of recources
careful attention to detail,
and presentation.
You kids from Australia and NewZealand and Britain....
You are so much more....knowledgable than American kids.
No, really.
And if you have time, could you tell me your opinion about this?

"Will the things you've left behind bring a tear to your eye?
Or make you smile and give a happy sigh."
Many great statements in this poem. Last lines are the real facts. Better to go forward and not look back. A excellent poem. Thank you.
