We're all just strangers passing by, oblivious to the stories that lie behind mere faces...

Night falls

I’m here

I realize

You’re not near

 

The moon shines

And I glow

But no one

Will ever know

 

That I was ever here

Was never there

I’m just a glimmer

Just a shimmer of light

Passing by

Just passing by

 

I know what it’s like to fade away

To disappear midflight when you had more to say

Oh, to feel his touch, his breath on my skin

To know that I’ll never, ever, ever, see him again

 

I fall

Unseen

My memory

Is wiped clean

 

My heart beats

But never true

There’s no more

Me and you

 

But I was never here

Was never there

I’m just a flame

Just a game of fate

Passing by

What am I?

I think I’m floating away now

In this sea of broken dreams

In this crowd of fallen angels

I was standing right there

I like it. The quick pace and crisp rhymes are great. I love how many of your poems have the same central themes, but you write each one so differently that it doesn't hurt your originality. That's great.
