Wine of Islam

Wine of Islam

A Poem by Abdul Batin Osman Bey
"

wondering Mind

"

Gazing into the black wine of Islam

My reflection coated in ripples

Vapors contact my eyes

Dark roast smell fills my nose

As I gaze

Deep into the never ending void

My face turns into images

What is hiding to many becomes plan to me

History unfolds within the creases of my mind

Wars and peace

Collapses and uprisings

The Alpha and the Omega of tick tock time

I take notes

Scribbling on pieces of invisible paper

Trying my best to use ancient languages to convey what has yet to be birthed

I take notes

On every arch of time

Knowing the panic it may cause

The relief of burdens to others

Now is not a time to speak

Only to watch and listen

We are at the point of great decision

Will we fly with the dove of peace?

Leaving wreckage in the past

Or march forward with the beast into complete oblivion?

This is really good, I like your style very much. Actually I like your choice of topic the most.

They just seem more socially relevant.
