Throne of Sun

Throne of Sun

A Poem by Abdul Batin Osman Bey
"

Inspired by a picture Arthur Logan Decker the 3rd showed me

"

Simplistic sun

Sitting in his rocking chair

In full feminine glory

His clothes are that of the green pastures

Hemmed with volcanic boarders

Left hand resting on his chair

Right hand holding flower of three

One flower is for Garvey

One flower for Selassie

One flower for Noble Ali

The sun makes no judgments

Just glares down with a George Washington face

A guide for righteous Gnostics

A blinding deterrent to the uninitiated

I love your language, it feels very charged with myth and culture.
