Rose to Thorn

Rose to Thorn

A Poem by Ace Jaxon

Love, the twisted and evil devour it

Love, the game you made out of it

Love, you want forgiveness now

Love, I gave it all up, you only pushed me down

Love, I still forgive, but never forget

Love, you say your sorry, and I understand that

Love, you want me to fall again

Love, I’m done being the pawn to your game of fools

Love, I wish for death due us part

Love, a rose for you with no thorns

Hate, a rose for me with more thorns than petals

Love, the end of time

Love, give me your thorns

Hate, give me the flower

Love, It’s already where your heart was

Hate, what do you mean

Love, it was never there

Hate, the reality of you

Hate, you let me love

Hate, the thing I cannot do

Hate, in the end this is you

Hate, the burden your forcing me to take

Hate, I’m done, I’m defeated

Love, I’ll be waiting in the dark
