Anxious Dreamer

Anxious Dreamer

A Poem by Ace Jaxon

Last night I had a dream

One of some simple things

Showing off my anxiety

I left someone behind

Yet I’m so anxious about running into them

Every time I walk outside, I try to blend in

Always turning my cheek the other way

Scared to get into a crowd and have fun

Lost in judgement from them all

Paranoia ringing loud

How do I know if I’m safe and sound
