Painful Words

Being told happy is wrong

Persecuted for joy

Called so many words

Just to make one hurt

Some words aren’t hurtful

But others a knife

Cutting through the skin

In the middle of the night

Being told sadness is wrong

Persecuted for frowning

Beat up till you are used to it

The words get more hurtful

A knife they are

Cutting through the skin

In the middle of the night

Immune to it now

Used to feeling hurt

Used to getting hurt

Getting jumped or worse

You have nothing emotions

They say, but you do deep down

Emotions bellow your blank stare

Their words, shattered glass

A window broken in

To rob your house and

Break your heart

A knife they hold in their mouth

A rope with a slip knot

A single word is a blade

Cutting through the skin

In the middle of the night

And the middle of the day

In the middle of the night'........... here 'A knife' could be the people in the society or in our family very close with cold heart one who needs to be changed. They make the time as 'evil time.' Thanks for sharing a wonderful poem.
