The Girl

The Girl

A Poem by The New Bard
"

This is my personal tribute to Lisbeth Salander, the protagonist to the Millennium trilogy and my all-time favourite character from anything. I love her to death. <3

"

Lives alone, but that is how she likes it;

Inside her own world, away from this petty one.

So don’t expect an answer; you won’t get it.

But don’t judge with your eyes and ears - she’s worth much more.

Eyes say she’s demented; ears say she’s handicapped

Though reality exclaims she is the opposite,

Holding more intellect than all of Sweden mixed.

She is, too, one of the most beautiful.

And don’t ever even imagine harming her

Lest you too end up like the “pig.”

Alas! Her time has ended with the trilogy.

Now she is forever buried with genius, Larsson.

Don’t think, however, that we will forget her.

Everything she speaks and performs is perfect, so

Remember, remember, the greatest girl ever born.

Author's Note

The New Bard
Like "Beautifully Dangerous", this too is an acrostic, so remember how difficult they are to create in themselves with such complex rules.
