The Rose Woman

The Rose Woman

A Poem by Ambra Celeste

The Rose Woman

Elegantly standing on a long stem
The petals of her wisdom embellish her
Her wisdom shaped by an esoteric past
The colour of her petals is red like blood
Bright as cherries
Intense like passion
Her mysterious spirit delicately wrapped
Only few petals unfold, partly revealing the scent of her charm
Her romantic sensuality
Her dual sexuality
These can’t be seen at first
It takes time to uncover all that you can feel beside her
The wind of difficulties may blow one or two petals away
But many more stand in their place
The thorns on the stem are fierce and sharp
Guards of her realm
Thirty for the blood of unauthorised pickers
Protecting her from unworthy harvesters
She is fed Divine dew
Refreshing water droplets guide her bloom
Rare roses of everlasting beauty
Here and now
If you see these in you
You know the real value of you.
