Paper Hearts

Just a random poem I thought, I guess love is in the air haha! Found picture on google.

Paper hearts litter this world,

I see them dangling from high above,

I see them reaching up from below,

I see them struggle in the wind

And watch them flip away.

Yet here I stay,

I see them torn,

I see then shredded,

I watch as they soak in the rain,

And see them dry out in the heat,

His heart was made of stone

My heart was made of paper

He weighed down on my heart,

But when another took my place,

 

His leaving ripped my paper heart,
