Rage's Grasp

Rage's Grasp

A Poem by Joyi
"

A poem about how anger and frustration is both a struggle for one person as well as those around them.

"

Sadness and fury,

The twins of rage.

Take over one’s body

Like a binding cage.

One cannot open their locked doors,

But can only suffer inside,

Merely wishing to be freed from their inner cores.

They pound and bash harder than one thousand knights,

Hoping that someone will hear their cries,

But their calls of agony will never see day’s bright lights.

Let us hope we will be okay,

For happiness will never forever stay.

You forced a few rhymes. But it tells a story about the writer. Not trash. Rework it.

I don't feel the work is a trash but a diamond in a coal mine. It needs a little polishing to gain its precious lustre and to scatter the shine of its lovely message all around. I like the theme of the poem. One of my favourite thing is this stanza:
"Sadness and fury,
The twins of rage.
Take over one’s body
Like a binding cage."

You make all the feelings lively. Keep writing.
