A Painted Life

A Painted Life

A Poem by Joyi
"

A poem about someone who is finally coming to terms with how their life is flowing.

"
As my life goes by ever so quickly
Like leaves changing their colors,
I have learned so much more about myself.

I see myself differently than I used to,
As if I were given a new pair of eyes.

When I become old and wise,
My whole picture will be finally revealed,
With all the strokes I had once added.

As for now,
I am young and naive
But will grow to understand my changing self,
One flourish at a time.

The most beautiful thing in this work is the title itself. I love it. An individual needs a lot of research within himself to have a better understanding of the self. I like different aspects of life such as young and old you used here. Nice work.
