Archangel:

Archangel:

A Poem by Aaron J. Wald
"

I was flipping through the channels... guess what I found...cause I aint telling.

"

Flaming sword: equip.

Charge the oncoming onslaught,

Freefall and plummet.

Beg the divine

For discharge and release…

Flame and null,

Dance macabre…

Complete.

Author's Note

Aaron J. Wald
I wrote this because of a tv evangalist. He was talking about how war was justified because the ones being killed did not accept Jesus into their hearts...

This was my response.

I like the Author's Note here. That is soooo funny! And you know, it makes the whole Spanish Inquisition, the tortures and murders of Muslims, Africans and Native Americans make sense now. They all just had it coming. Aint it easy to hate some so called Christians? good response.

ooo I really like this. I can really see two meanings developing in my head from it... one I took it just like you said it fighting and angels and all that... but on the other hand it's sexual... but not necessarily sexual in a good way. Kind of like that poem by one of the famous women poets... Virginia Woolf or Emily Dickinson... maybe neither of those but one wrote a poem about penises, but they didn't say penises.

Interesting response.
I like poetry that's motivated by strong feelings to real world situations.
Blind faith vs. blind faith...sigh...they're all crazy.

Strange that something so pretty emerged from something so ugly [unforgiving evangalist].
I guess that's life though, huh?
