My Lonely Life

This poem is a feel of a person who lives his life lonely. The person may be orphan or a person who have been rejected by the whole world,even his family.

My Lonely Life

I look around my world, I am alone;

Nobody to talk to, nobody to walk with, I am alone;

Nobody to cry to, nobody to laugh at, I am alone;

I look around my world, I am alone;

Nobody to show love, nobody to show lust, I am alone;

Nobody to kiss me, nobody to miss me, I am alone;

I look around my world, I am alone;

Nobody to care for, nobody to share with, I am alone;

Nobody to meet me, nobody to hate me, I am alone;

I look around my world, I am alone;

Nobody to fight me, nobody to right me, I am alone;

Nobody to pat on, wherever I sat on, I am alone;

At the dawn, at the noon;

At the eve, under moon;

I live my life, all alone.

This is my first poem that I write. I had to say that after becoming a member of writerscafe.org which I joined to showcase my story writing skills, I happened to see many of the writers here are writing poems. I read some and I got inspired to take up poetry writing as well.

This can definitely feel true at times, but truthfully it does not have to be!! The way the phrase "I am alone" is used here makes me question whether this isolation is positive or negative to you. At first read, I found it to be negative, but after going over it again I wasn't quite sure anymore. This piece definitely makes me think!

The phrase "I am alone" gives this poem a strange feeling. It is both good and bad but still I think you did a great job :)

Thanks for your comments friend. Will take your opinion. Yeah I 'I am alone' more times as I thought it would portray a depth in a sad loneliness. Don't know how effective it is though. Just my first poem.. :)

I feel this empathizes the bad side of Lonliness, but also the good side about it. I feel if you talk more about how it can a positive too that would be a nice twist. The use of internal rhyme is good, but a little inconsistent. But still, great job!

A strong write on Loneliness! Truly loneliness could be menacing at times though we have hand full of work and mind full of thoughts. It's pity when there's no one to appreciate our accomplishments and no one to share our griefs.Good job Abdul :)
