This Road

This Road

A Poem by Abel Garcia

On this old road,

I see a familiar face, Standig infront of me,

It is cold, the winter air attacks me,

Yet I march forward, maybe I'll find the face.

On this old road,

I run forward,

The ground below me is covered in glass,

I bleed upon the earth,

On this old road,

I jump at it,

The familiar face is worth the fight,

I just know it,

But on this old road,

You sit waiting,

For i will never come,

I won't survive to get you,

Damn this old road.
