Survivor

A Poem by Adara
"

The poem is supposed to be me "speaking" to the man who sexually abused me as a child.

"
Lost innocence, it describes me
Perfectly.
And brokenness', it weighs on me
Every day.
The chains you chained me with,
They bind me still.
I run and hide but can't
Escape it all.
You controlled me,
You control me still.
If life were fair you'd be dead
It isn't;
You live in my head.
I want it all to go away
Just breathe and it's all
Okay.
I guess I'll never be
Really free.

I don't think anyone is really truly free, I get what you are saying.
