The empty street

The empty street

A Poem by Aiden Alyx

She is lost somewhere between the light and the pavement
Somebody somewhere yet nothing and nowhere
Here but there,  dead and alive
A shadow lighting the way into the beasts mouth
Inescapable guilt that is not her own
The pain of all her friends on her shoulders
The symphony of one thousand screams ringing in her ear
Wandering alone down the empty street
A creature of the night, not by her own making
Nothing but pure horror walking.
