Broken Memories

The day was just passing by.

Until a picture of you crossed my eyes; 

A shiver ran down the spine 

I was left with a broken smile. 

They say time can heal any wounds away 

Its been years, yet feels like yesterday. 

Nobody knows how I feel, 

Deep inside I'm cold as steel. 

This pain, it never goes away 

Living off your memories every day. 

Life's a b***h, you gave up the fight

And I'm left here alone, wondering why 

Trynna forget, you know its hard 

When you've been the rhythm of my beating heart. 

Empty pages, tear stained eyes,  

You left a giant jagged hole inside

Yeah, I said I won't cry 

But You're gone and I don't see why. 

I'm so tired of faking a smile

Not a life, living lie. 

I'm strong, I have my mask on 

I know, life will just go on. 

But crack my shell and you'll see 

Your blood-stained haunting vacancy 

But don't fret, they'll never see
