Damned

Damned

A Poem by Reuben Porter
"

Written during a time when I was filled with anger and hate. I have come to overpower this "Demon" in recent years.

"

Flaming eyes, teeth like knives,
what beast have I created?
The more I calm him,
the more the anger becomes inflated.
Everyday, more and more,
my body is overcome.
The searing heat, the deadly pain,
I just cannot outrun.
I lay and think about this beast,
I wonder how it was released.
I have been damned to walk this earth,
Damned without love, damned without hurt.
