Forever Is Just a Lie

Forever Is Just a Lie

A Poem by Reuben Porter
"

A poem about how I feel of the relationship that just recently ended between me and my now, ex-girlfriend Kersten.

"

Once we held each other closely,

I gazed into your eyes,

But little did I know then,

Forever was just a lie.

You told me that you loved me,

That this feeling would not die.

I was so damn foolish,

Forever was just a lie.

Along came HIM,

You laughed, you cried,

Quickly you forgot of me,

Forever was just a lie.

And now you are together,

You're no longer mine.

I only hope he knows,

Forever is just a lie.

Please remember, you may not agree with what the poem says but I wrote it a few days ago when I was still taking the fact that my girlfriend of 2 years, 1 month and 1 week broke up with me so that she could be with someone else (Though she did not admit it at first)

That was a really great poem. Your emotions are really fresh and touching. it's an awful thing to have happened though.

personally i don't think there can be such a thing as forever. we all die eventually, right? all we can do is take life as it comes, enjoy the good memories and learn from the bad.
