been there where all was wild belief
and mountain-solid-certainty all joys' relief 
been down beneath the earth of century time
been dark as fallen angels in their prime

i've been in love till sickness at the thought
of death entwined with evry moment sought
so now i step aside near cities' peace
and for a while my passion play will cease
