Beneath a Stone

Beneath a Stone

A Poem by Alexx

In the dark of late fall
I found myself walking
I gave out a call
Fell to my knees, beginning to crawl
Maturity I lacked, and
My ignorance had led me here
I had used all my friends
When they would lend an ear
Spoke I did of ignorance
And hate and intolerance
All the while I lacked advance
In carving my own path
This cold of fall has passed
Through my coat and into my bones
Alone I am, alone I've been
With my head now beneath a stone
