My Confession

My Confession

A Poem by Laura Pruett

In truth, I do discriminate;
Love, it is unfair
Most, I do not love at all
My loved ones, they are rare

I love so deep it can’t be shown
Though I do not repress
I cannot show my true emotions;
They’re too strong to express

If you love it, let it go;
A creed that I believe
For you, my dear, I’ll let you go
I love you more than me

If someone must be hurt, my love
Then please, don’t count the cost
Though you be the death of me,
I’ll love you ‘til life’s lost
