Shapes shape shame

Shapes shape shame

A Poem by Alice

If Life is a cycle, why are we in denial
If Life is a circle why are we all rehearsal
So if life was a knife would you be the fight?
If life was a dark night, would we become the light?
Or the monsters that would burn that bright light into a frightening sight?
Dont be straight lines in this world full of white lies

If horses just want to run,
And Birds just want to hum,
Why do we humans always create such big curriculums?
If birds are happy with the sky
If squirrels are happy in their life's
Why do we always have to be a diamond to shine bright?

It doesn't make sence
All these shapes
and no way to fit them
Well I'm done trying to fit in
Done trying to win this
I'm done with this all nonsense
All these nonefriends who just pretend
Done trying to be a square in this world where no one cares

So I'll ask this once and once more you'll ignore
But If life is a circle, why do we stay a board?

A very compelling poem with a very good question. It is very well written and so easy to read that the reader (me here) is able to enjoy the poem so much more. Splendid job.
