Personal Rain cloud

Personal Rain cloud

A Poem by Alice

I sit here in this dark cave, so sure that I wish to escape
But sitting here with thoughts that race,
I begin to evade the clouds dancing in my way.
So I sit in the far corner,
leaned against the smallest border
My head filled with such immense horrors.

The darkness too thick to see anything but a lit candlewick,
but when I step towards it, it only gets farther,
and when I reach for it I'm back there at my border
Can someone tell me how to escape this place?
I'm drowning in the rain clouds invading my personal space.

Author's Note

Alice
I haven't wrote any poems in a long time, I guess I just got sidetracked with life and forgot about it but today I wrote this, so I hope you like it. Would appreciate feedback!

i like the symbolism displayed in the poem, there is something about life which makes you feel unsure of and that is the general feeling of almost everyone
