Daydreaming

Daydreaming

A Poem by David Sarori

Beyond green fields calm and mellow.
Beyond the thunderclouds that crack and bellow.
Beyond the seas quite serene
There I lie lost in dream

the past is the past
And the present won't last.
I chose to live the future now,
And live the life time won't allow.

I live in a land of peace, a land of no more war
A land of amazing science, where flying cars soar
A land of no more hunger and endless fields of corn
A land of no more sadness where no one Is forlorn

Some people seem to think I'm lazy
Even a little crazy
Daydreaming all the time,
But it's far far better then the common life you mime

It's not a matter of this or that,
Whether your here, there, or where your sat.
take my hand, I'll show you what could be,
Just close your eyes so that you may see.
