Lift

Lift

A Poem by Star Cross
"

...

"

Even the stars take a break,
As the moon changes.
We can't stop the world from revolving,
So we might as well let go of everything
That pulls us back from reality.

It may take all of our will and
All of our might;
We can succeed not if we believe,
But if we let it be.
Reveal everything.

No one can take away our purity
Unless we allow them to.
Even if our bodies are disgraced
And our words have no taste,
Always remember,
The world will not stop revolving.

Lift your head high.

This is a many-leveled poem that can be read with different meanings for different people. But I think it will have meaning to anyone who has experienced loss or recovery from loss. The fact is that most people have something to regret and what your poem says to me is that we may have to live with failure but we don't have to be a failure. Good message!
