Bottle

Bottle

A Poem by Star Cross
"

.

"
   To fill the bottle,
All you have to do is to break my heart.
The blood will coat it red,
The tears will make it shine,
The bottle shall be full,
By the end of tonight.
I do not want your sympathetic hand,
For it will be quickly taken away as it is given.
You do not know how I feel,
And apparently I do not know how you feel.
You may think your words would pierce through me,
But, baby.
You are wrong.
   To fill the bottle,
All you have to do is to break my heart.
The blood will coat it red.
The tears will make it shine.
The bottle shall be full,
By the end of tonight.

It was so beautiful and tragic, the way that you described what looked like the inevitable.

"I do not want your sympathetic hand,
For it will be quickly taken away as it is given."
That is so true of any unequal love whether for a lover or for a friend or even for a parent. Thank you for posting this, Star Cross.
