Thats My Dreamworld

Thats My Dreamworld

A Poem by Al-itzah
"

I want to live in my dream...

"

I fall into a an abyss of darkness,

lost in distraught,

torn apart,

shattered in pieces.

My soul blasted into oblivion,

wandering the halls of utmost desolution,

pondering my ways,

wasting away my days.

Lovers come and go,

only to see the same tired face,

worn out expressions,

and the once radiant persona,

gone and forgotten.

She looked into his eyes,

but he was lost,

his vision of her had evaporated into smoke,

his eyes stared blindly into hers,

all emotion gone,

it was then when she knew that she had lost,

her promiscuous ways fallen,

the one person she cared for the most,

gone, lost in the abyss of dreams.

They are reoccuring,

haunting her in day and night,

the past stalking her footsteps,

with every breath she takes,

a life is wasted.

Wind surges through her hair,

as she glances out the window,

the moonlight shimmering on her white night gown,

and in her green eyes,

pain is revealed,

and with that,

her heart dies.

Love is Fickle,

Love is kind,

Love is the slowest form of suicide.

i love the last lines...
"Love is Fickle,
Love is kind,
Love is the slowest form of suicide."

of your intimately expressed writing~Gorgeous poem !

The last three lines were the best part of the poem.

Very vibrant wording and language, but the ebb and flow of the piece seemed a bit off beat, and the stanzas while being centered on the same idea in principle, seemed to be unrelated to each other which made the piece seem a bit awkward. Still, not terrible in the least, just very unpolished I think.

Your author's note had me a bit perplexed, also. Was this piece a song by a one, Robin Thicke?

pain, numbness...very well portrayed...especially the lines "with every breath she takes, a life is wasted." and "pain is revealed, and with that, her heart dies."

and a perfect ending "Love is Fickle, Love is kind, Love is the slowest form of suicide" to the saddest emotion of love...this is how a heart breaks...
beautifully sad

a great write..

regards
barricade...
