The Wilted Rose

The Wilted Rose

A Poem by AllauraRose

The climax of a Roses life is its death.

I am like the wilted rose,
who is beautiful even when
sadness has overcome it
when alive it gleams with victory
when dead it soars above the rest
the rose may lose its life
but it can never truly die
no one can ever defeat it
you can attempt to beat it
but it will always win
so when you try to kill a rose,
good luck you will need it.

Poetry gives me a way to express my thoughts without being scorned or looked at like I'm crazy. I'm no Emily Dickinson, but I'm me. more..
