A Sunsets Dream

A poem about a sunset on the beach, how it helps you escape reality.

The long walk

The tired feet

The sand between my toes 

The waves and shore

which I adore 

because they have not a care in the world

The seagulls fly high above me

The wind hugs me as the waves hit the shore

Comfort at its highest 

Even when life may be at its lowest

The sun is setting slowly

The colors melt in the sky 

The sands warmth starts to leave me

As I kiss the stars goodbye

This is just lovely!

I was there, being embraced by the wind and able to see the beauty of the world despite the shivers inside.

When I feel lost I find the sea, I think a lot can be said for someone who takes a moment to reflect upon the beauty of life even if they are in darkness.

I loved how you used such comforting words and imagery, although the last word leaves me questioning. But perhaps I am merely analysing too much...
